Alcoholic tincture of Chinese lemongrass fruit (alcoholic tincture of schizandra)

Chinese lemongrass is taken in the form of tincture (96% alcohol) and extract (70% alcohol), powder and tablets. The tincture is taken 1-2 times a day in the morning on an empty stomach or 4 hours after eating with a small amount of water. To obtain a tonic and stimulating effect, the selection begins with 10-15 drops and is brought to 20-40 drops, depending on the subjective feelings and recommendations of the doctor. The exact dosage of the tincture is selected individually by experience. The course of treatment is usually 2-4 weeks.

The action of lemongrass taken in the doses indicated above usually manifests itself in 30 to 40 minutes and, gradually increasing, reaches a maximum in 2 to 3 aca after administration. Then it weakens, and after 4 to 6 hours it disappears completely. Lemongrass tincture can be prepared at home. To do this, for one part of crushed lemongrass fruits (fresh or dry), take 5 parts of 70-95% alcohol, the bottle (preferably made of dark glass) is well closed and the contents are infused for 7 to 10 days in a dark place at room temperature, periodically shaking. After that, the tincture is filtered (it is possible through 2-3 layers of gauze), the remainder is squeezed out and added to the filtered part. After standing for some time (2-3 days), the tincture is filtered a second time.

As a result, the tincture should be transparent. Home-made tincture of lemongrass fruits is taken on an empty stomach 2 times a day for 35-40 drops.

The effect of the reception is felt after 30-40 minutes. The result of treatment will be noticeable on the 15th-20th day from the beginning of taking the tincture. The course of treatment is 20-25 days.
