"Captain" is a medium-early beet variety with high taste qualities (very sweet). It has excellent keeping quality of root crops in winter.
Dark red lined root vegetables weighing 160-300 g have a rounded surface with a soft skin. Their flesh is tender, juicy, without coarse fibers and rings. The color of the pulp is intensely red.
In cooking, beetroot "captain" is used for various processing methods, including for canning (it does not lose its color).
