Bulgarian pepper (yellow)
Yellow bell pepper is a pepper of the indalo variety. The color of this pepper is due to the minimal content of the red pigment in the fruit - lycopene-and the presence of yellow-giving carotenoids.
Yellow pepper is the champion in potassium content among all other types of pepper. But potassium is very good for the heart! That is why yellow pepper should be eaten by the elderly and people with heart disease. Yellow peppers also contain more phosphorus than red or green peppers. Therefore, it is recommended for children and people with sick bones (as you know, phosphorus is involved in the formation of the bone system, ensures the normal functioning of the kidneys and cell growth).
