Chili pepper "manzano" (pepper-apple, pepper-pear)
The "manzano" pepper is a small chili of yellow or orange color. In its size and shape, it somewhat resembles a Chinese apple-hence the second, Mexican, name of the pepper - "pepper-apple".
"Manzano" has a fiery burning power. However, it is used fresh in salads and sauces.
