Dried fruits of red mountain ash

For medical purposes, both fresh and dried fruits of red mountain ash are used. Despite the fact that fresh mountain ash retains its healing properties for a long time, it is still better to be safe and dry it.
Rowan is dried in an open oven or in an oven at a temperature not exceeding 75 degrees. Drying stops when the fruits stop sticking to each other, and the skin on them shrivels.
Ready-made dried mountain ash fruits are often used to make a surrogate tea.
