Edible Honeysuckle leaves

The flowers and leaves of the honeysuckle are edible. Decoction and infusions of fresh and dried honeysuckle leaves are most often used in folk medicine as an antimicrobial (for burns and ulcers), diuretic and anti-inflammatory (for diseases of the eyes and throat).

Honeysuckle leaves are harvested during the flowering of the plant, they are dried outdoors in the shade, and then stored in a dry place.
