Edible honeysuckle "nightingale" (Leningrad selection)
Honeysuckle berries of the "nightingale" variety are small, spindle – shaped. Their surface is bumpy, with a pronounced "saucer" in the upper part. The flesh is tender, the skin is elastic. They taste sweet and sour, so they are suitable for dessert use (in fresh form), and for home preparations (jams, pastilles, jam).
The leaves of this variety of honeysuckle are green, elongated-oval. In folk medicine, they are used for making infusions and decoctions.
