Hawthorn Flowers
For medicinal purposes, use the bark, ripe fruits and flowers of hawthorn.
Hawthorn flowers are white, pink or blue-purple, have a peculiar smell. As a rule, they are collected in dry weather in May-June. In general, for flower raw materials, it is customary to collect the entire inflorescence, even partially with buds, at the beginning of the flowering of the plant.
The collected inflorescences are divided into several parts and dried in the shade under a canopy in dry weather or in dryers at a temperature of 30-35 degrees. Well-dried raw materials have a pleasant smell. Store it in boxes, cans, boxes, woven or paper bags. The shelf life of dried hawthorn flowers is 1 year.
