Hawthorn honey: properties of hawthorn honey

Hawthorn honey belongs to very rare varieties of honey, because hawthorn blooms only 10 days a year and the bees simply do not have time to collect nectar from its flowers.

Hawthorn honey: properties of hawthorn honey

Hawthorn honey has a strong smell and an unobtrusive, balanced taste: it is less sweet than, for example, rapeseed honey (due to which hawthorn honey slowly crystallizes), besides it has a piquant bitterness.

The consistency of hawthorn honey is creamy, while its color can be different, up to white.

In cooking, hawthorn honey can be used for universal purposes, however, given the value of the product, it is recommended to use it in its natural form together with warm tea.
