Hawthorn leaves

Hawthorn leaves are harvested at the beginning of the plant's flowering, when the flowers have not all opened yet.

Leaves petiolate, whole, are oblong or oblong-ovate. In autumn, in some hawthorn species, they turn orange or purple, but in most cases they retain their green color and fall off either green or browned.

As a rule, tea is brewed from the leaves of hawthorn and added to medicinal preparations.
