Massage for arthrosis of the knee, ankle and toes

With arthrosis of the knee joint, ankle and toe joints, massage begins with the hip muscles. The massage techniques used in this sequence: stroking her hand (3-4 times), squeezing palm edge (2-3 times), squeezing crests kulaks (3-4 times), shaking and stroking muscles (2 – 3 times), simple kneading (2-3 times), double ring kneading (3-4 times) and double simple kneading (4-6 times), shaking (3 – 4 times), longitudinal kneading (3-5 times), stroking (3-4 times).

In the area of the joints themselves, they resort to techniques of concentric and circular stroking on their side sections: rectilinear rubbing with the base of the palms of both hands (6-8 times), pinching (3 – 5 times), rectilinear and circular rubbing (3 – 4 times).

Then go back to massaging the hip, but the number of repetitions during each reception is reduced by half. After this, the joints are massaged again – its side areas are massaged circularly with the phalanges of fingers clenched into a fist (4-6 times), circular rubbing with the base of the palms (3-6 times), and concentric stroking (3-6 times). Next, the thigh muscles are massaged again by pressing (3-5 times), shaking (2 – 3 times), stroking (2 – 3 times).

The applied effort should be measured with the sensitivity and elasticity of the massaged tissues. A good effect can be achieved by massage after a bath.
