Note #65: "About oranges"

The most useful parts of an orange are its peel and the white, tasteless flesh. But orange juice is quite a high-calorie product! In addition, it contains much less vitamins than in the white pulp and peel. Oranges can be stored both in the cold and at room temperature. When choosing oranges, it is important to remember that the slightly greenish tint of the peel does not indicate their immaturity. The main thing is that the weight of the oranges is not too light. On the contrary, if you take a ripe orange in your hands, it should resemble an elastic and weighty ball.
