Onion-turnip "commissar" (red)
Medium-ripe onion "commissar" brings as a crop bulbs flat-rounded (flattened) shape.
Their flesh is dense, the taste is spicy. In cooking, it is used for preparing salads and vegetable side dishes.
The outer scales of the bulbs are intensely red. In folk medicine, they are used for the preparation of infusions and decoctions.
