Medium-ripened onion-turnip of the "chalcedony" variety forms rounded dense bulbs weighing 90-130 g.
The color of the dry scales of the bulbs is brown-bronze, in juicy scales it is white.
The taste of "chalcedony" is sharp. In cooking, it is most often used in boiled, fried and stewed form.
