Pike: useful properties of pike
The pike is a predatory freshwater fish of the Pike family; it has a spindle-shaped body of marble-green or brown color on the sides and silver color on the belly. The length of the body is 50-70 cm; the head is elongated, with strong jaws.

In cooking, all modes of cooking at a moderate temperature are suitable for pike: the flesh of the pike is dense, fragrant, it is suitable for making pate, minced meat and filling, including for fish pies and dumplings.
At home, most often pike is cooked in broth from the roots or fried in butter. Restaurants and cafes offer red and white wine to the pike.
