Red mountain ash flowers

In May-June, the red mountain ash tree is covered with small white or greenish flowers that emit an unpleasant smell (the smell of trimethylamine, reminiscent of horse manure).

For medical purposes, rowan flowers are harvested during the flowering of the plant. They are carefully collected and dried in the shade in a draft.

The shelf life of dried rowan flowers is 12 months.
