Round grain rice

Round-grain rice is also called milk rice, it has almost round opaque grains and contains a lot of starch – that's why it gets a creamy consistency when cooked. Before cooking, round-grain rice is washed several times.

Because of the large "stickiness" of this rice, it is often used for cooking Japanese dishes( sushi), a variety of cereals, risottos, puddings and casseroles.

The most popular varieties of round-grain rice: "viola", "bomba", "nishiki", "baia", "Kamolino", as well as rice brands "Japonica", "Kuban"and " Italica".
