Sea buckthorn fruit oil: useful properties of sea buckthorn oil

The first method

To obtain oil from sea buckthorn fruits at home, you need to squeeze the juice from fresh berries, dry the resulting cake and grind it thoroughly in a mortar or coffee grinder. Then pour the resulting powder (in a ratio of 1:2) preheated to a temperature of 60 degrees with olive, sunflower, cucurbit or any other vegetable oil. Allow the mass to settle for a day, then drain the oil. The resulting oil is suitable for medicinal use.

If the cake is again filled with vegetable oil and infused for a day, then this oil will be applicable only for cosmetic and culinary purposes.

The second method

You can get sea buckthorn oil in another way: crushed ripe sea buckthorn berries can be kept for several days at room temperature in glass jars, and then simply collect the oil that has floated up.

In any case, sea buckthorn oil should be stored only in a cool place protected from light.
