"Mona" is a medium – early variety of single-stemmed table beet. The variety is characterized by excellent taste and good keeping quality.
Aligned root vegetables of cylindrical shape have a smooth surface with a thin skin. They are painted red. Their flesh is tender, juicy, dark red in color with slightly pronounced rings.
Such beets reach a mass of 200-330 g, and individual specimens grow up to 400 g.
In cooking, beets of the mona variety are mainly used for canning, as well as for other processing methods. It is noteworthy that after cooking, beets do not need to be cleaned: the peel is removed by itself.
