Viburnum bark
Medicinal raw materials of viburnum are fruits, flowers, branches and bark.
Viburnum bark is harvested in early spring (in April-May) during sap flow. You need to collect it from the side branches, without affecting the main trunk. On the cut branches, make circular incisions with a knife through 25 cm and connect them with longitudinal cuts. After that, the bark is easily removed.
Dry the bark of viburnum outdoors in the shade, under a canopy with good ventilation, spreading a thin layer (3-5 cm) on paper or fabric. Drying is considered complete if the bark breaks easily, with a crack, when bent.
The shelf life of dried viburnum bark is 4 years.
