Viburnum flowers
In viburnum, all parts are healing: roots, fruits, leaves, branches, flowers.
Viburnum flowers are of two types. Some of them, located on the edge of the scutellum, are white or white-pink, rather large, with five petals, without pistils and stamens. They do not produce fruit and serve only to attract insects. Others, greenish, located inside the inflorescence and do not have petals, are fruiting.
Viburnum blooms in May-June. As a rule, for medicinal purposes, the flowers are harvested in dry weather, at a time when some of the flowers have bloomed, and some have not yet. Cut off the whole inflorescences, which are then best dried in the shade in the attic or in dryers, at a temperature of 40-50°C.
Dried viburnum flowers placed in cardboard boxes can be stored for up to 2 years.
